PTEK has become a favorite of short-sellers. . .so the question is not whether or not it is a good buy. . . but whether or not the shorts THINK it will rise on the news. If they do, and cover. . .then a pop is all but guaranteed. If not. . .and shorts maintain positions, then even WITH great news, it will still fall. . . So best to try to get a read on short positions currently to see if they ever let go. I know for a while, it was quite popular among short-sellers. Sometimes, whether a stock is good or bad. . .or whether it has potential or promise of IPOs or big news or whatever. . . .sometimes none of these have any bearing on the price of the stock. And that is what makes it so difficult to pick winners with accuracy. Rande Is
