Syed Iftikar has stated that the next version of Orb will possibly use GMR technology and be anywhere from 8 to 10 Gigs per cart. He wants this version to be used in a consumer VCR-type applications. The 8-10 Gig capacity would be good for this, as it would be able to record 2 or 3 DVD-quality movie's length of time.

We will have to come up with a new nomenclature: VOR = Video Orb Recorder!
