Morning everyone....it still is morning on the west coast.
Da birdies, Gnet and Russ, are gettin big. My cat Tramp, has not discovered them, I think she is getting old, in her younger days those birdies would not have stood a chance.
I need a few prayers and fingers crossed. We will be spending all day tomorrow in court. I'll tell you my story as briefly as possible.
My husband and I have been raising my granddaughter for the last 5 years. She is now 9. She was abandoned by her mother (my daughter) due to drugs. After an absence of 4 years, it seems she met her knight in shining armor in drug rehab, had 2 more children, and decided she wants her "possession" back.(None of which we knew about until we were subpoenaed to court for custody) We are fighting it because the child is a real person, not a possession and she has never proven to our satisfaction that she is and will remain clean, nor has she ever been a 'mother' to this child. Most importantly, our granddaughter does not want to go and as for us, you don't raise a child for 5 years without becoming a family. We love her dearly and cannot bear to see her life disrupted again.
Well, tomorrow is "Decision Day" after 11 months of legal battle, tons of money, and miles of emotions.
Every prayer and thought is appreciated.
