I do not have it ready to hand, unfortunately, but the sex selection problem has been acknowledged by feminists. The number of pregnancies has increased since abortion has become more accessible, although I have not seen if that is confined to the US, or prevails in Europe as well. I was using the term "moral hazard" in the sense that it used by insurance companies, where the existence of insurance makes people lax about precautions. It is certainly true that it may go with the territory. Anyway, my primary intent was to demonstrated that an argument against abortion could be framed without reference to religious faith...
