Ohshaw, anyone giving a loan on restricted stock would be a fool. The creditor could not sell the stock in the open market because the stock cert's are marked RESTRICTED and need to be cleared before a sale can take place. The only true way around it all would be to have someone else sell short the stock in the open market and then cover once the restricted stock has cleared. The short seller would also have to come up with 50% of the short sale in order to place the order.
