How to open a WIT account by July 2nd? I didnt get my CMGI code last week so today I faxed in my trade confirmation per their IR phone msg directions. In the meantime I thought I would see if I could open the WIT account now and then fill-in the CMGI code later - so I called WIT and they said no I couldnt and that the account has to be open AND fully funded by July 2nd - and that personal checks take 7 days to clear. Therefore even if CMGI comes through with my code today (still waiting) there is no way I can get the account open in time unless I fedex the account application and use a wire transfer to fund the account. This is not what I call good investor relations! Has anybody else heard this nonsense or was the guy from WIT wrong, I would think it would be sufficient for them to just receive the check by July 2nd as long as I dont need to trade against it before it clears... (I am emailing a copy of this to CMGI investor relations as well)
