If they ever *do* make a payment, they get to reset the clock for another two years. Neat deal, huh.

I myself am not discounting the possibility of the ultimate, no-holds-barred tout marathon of all time by all concerned beginning before the end of 1999. If They run MU up past the price where they can force a conversion of the bonds into stock, MU avoids paying the interest (well, avoids defaulting for not paying the interest). I think that price is 87 or so, by 1/1/2000.
