What we're missing, IMO, is something akin to the semiconductor industry's "book-to-bill" ratio... You know, I noticed that all this information is available in ebay's database and a lot of it is posted right now on ebay's web (how many active auctions exist on a given day and how many auctions closed on a given day). It seems to me that if we could intelligently articulate a measurement, there is no reason why that number could not be posted.
