Abortion may do violence to "the concept of paternity", but refusal to allow it can do violence to the life of a specific individual. Which has greater protection under our principles? In practical terms, it is very, very, rare to find a father opposing an abortion. The paternal element is more likely to be urging the abortion or completely absent.
