It's his mother, though, who gets to be with the children he made with the one he loved.
If my impecunious young son, a child, really, was made a father twice over when he was 14 or 15 by a woman in her 30's, a teacher, thuswise changing his life forever, and it was I whose responsibility it was to raise those children, and of course be entangled with that bizarro woman forever, I would think she should be thrown in jail before number three was conceived, and lose her license to teach forever.
And I dare say if a teacher in his thirties impregnated your 14 year old daughter, then did it again after promising to stay away from her, and you were a person of very limited means, and you had to be the default child-raiser, you would take a less romantic view of the proceedings.
The woman is utterly irresponsible at best; and the boy has proved he's still a baby. He needs protection. Or, should I say, those who pay the price for his being a fertile baby do. Among those are the woman's several now-motherless children by her husband. |
