Technocrat,

The implications of your analysis is great as far as Ancor is concerned. Economies of scale (cheaper FC products) in the coming months will make this market segment a viable one for Ancor. I hope they are exploring this area with due diligence. They need to have partnerships with OEM's that sell high-end computers to get the ball moving with FC. This will enable them to move into other market segments such as the disk attachment which you are refering to. If a company can save money and get increased performance too then they will definitely give FC a closer look.

I believe Seagate's name was mentioned in the last conference call as far as creating specifications for FC-attachments-storage products. I could be wrong on this.

If you don't mind me asking, who is the "us" when you mentioned about preaching to Ancor about exploiting the storage attachment side of FC?
