William, according to the investor relations phone announcement, you need to fax a copy of your brokers statement showing the trade to Wit at 978-684-3814. Include in the cover letter your email address and a return fax number.

After my earlier post I faxed my info a second time and within a half hour I received a fax back from them with my code. I filled out the Wit account application and fedex'd the whole thing to them today - better safe than sorry, at least I can track it to be sure it got there.

Thanks to everyone who responded regarding the check clearing issue.
