The Washington air is affecting you, Neocon. <g> I couldn't quite figure out what you were trying to say in this post: If the main thing is to put the procedure on the defensive, I have no problem with variable regimes in different states...The motivation of individuals is irrelevant to the larger question of providing a rationale that is germane to the non- sectarian sphere of public policy... Was it something along the lines of the following? As long as it's harder for women in general to get an abortion, I don't care whether it's easier in some states than in others. What drives individual women to seek abortions is less important than........what?? <pause> ....our task of thinking up a good, non-religious rationale for not permitting them to have* abortions.* ??
