One need not prove something beyond a reasonable doubt, but by the preponderance of evidence.

On these terms the social conservatives will sink without trace, even if their arguments are ever so secular. Try to "prove" a correlation between a rise in abortion and a rise in child abuse, then look at the statistics that E just cited. Which is more convincing?
