Hi, Howard, nice to hear from you again. Thank you I'm almost to the point of opting for a luggable case with a standard motherboard. Put a separate flat-screen display in a portable package, another separate reasonably compact keyboard in a portable package, and I bet you could come in under 25 pounds with some serious, upgradable components. "Brain storming" your idea says you could also connect your separate flat-screen display to a laptop. Many laptops built now have a video output port for use with an external monitor. You can get a laptop with a 433 Megahertz Pentium II processor and a 13.3 inch TFT XGA color display for less than $2500 or a 366 Megahertz Celeron Processor and a 13.3 inch TFT XGA color display for less than $2000. This approach would cost more than your approach, would not be upgradable but would be a lot easier to lug around and set up. Anybody remember the Osborn Luggable? Or the Compaq Transportable?
