OT (and why not, with Dell doing so miserably?)
answer to world hunger, education reform, used car warranties and the like Wow, next time CMGI dips I'm stoking up....that's better than the Libertarian party!!!!!!
where did all those miles go?? Well when I first bought that friend of mine (i.e. my Toyota Tercel with 338,000 on it) I lived in Lake Tahoe. It traveled its first baby steps in snow, sleet, and long trips to San Francisco where my son and I had weekend seasons tickets to see the San Francisco Giants. Then I moved to San Diego but could not get a job. So I worked in El Centro, 115 miles East each way. The Toyota service manager says that's why the car is so happy and long lasting: its first years were spent almost entirely on highway driving. Some nights I could not stand the idea of driving back so I had a $10 a night deal with one of the principals and his family: on those evenings and next days the car didnt get driven at all, I just walked around El Centro. By the time I got a job in San Diego my baby had over 100,000 miles on it, almost exclusively highway. Then there have been miscellaneaous trips to Fresno to see my daughter and son in law and her baby, and various weekend nonsense to Las Vegas: Ah I 15 how well I know thee!!!!! Remember girls just want to have fun!!!! Best wishes Good luck to all of us. Weeds, huh? Freeus |
