Thanx for the welcome. Actually I've been using the GG theory selectively. I believe the authors have a sound case, however I also believe in some stocks just being plain good investments, although not likely to ever attain gorilla status (NTAP, PMCS, BBD come to mind). Nonetheless, I will be likely applying the GG premise to my holdings more seriously as I expect to be away more over the next couple of years and unable to pay as close attention as I would like to the market. (Probably one of the best side benefits of gorilla investing).

The biggest problem I am faced with is taxation. I'm a small investor, however that investment in CSCO three years ago is now a disproportionate part of my taxable portfolio. Crystallization of the capital gain with Canadian tax treatment is punishing. While I've been nibbling at the mighty Q since March, I'd love to buy more (likely from CSCO) but I don't think the tax hit makes it worthwhile.

PS: I think you're the first to read my profile. I guess I better review it to see what lies I wrote there so long ago.

cheers
