CH4: I am not known for being particularly pro-PEM, but in all fairness you can't take a couple of materials and make a point that the comparable ones are cheaper per ounce for SO than PEM, without taking into account:

1) the differing number of ounces needed,
2) prices of other materials, that may be cheaper for PEM than SO, and
3) the ease (or not) of producing the differing types with mass production techniques that would lower the labor and overhead costs per unit.

You may be right that SO might be cheaper than PEM. But have you any reasons besides just a few material costs?
