don pagach: I don't know, but if I had to pick, I'd say it's a blip. MI might be unique because of its internet/EDI expertise. Perhaps its large size also was important to the strategy of Avnet. I'm surprised that the Marshall family decided to sell out. But- on the other hand- the premium Avnet offers is so much higher than MI's price last week. (Yippee!) Do you (or anyone else on the thread) see any particular companies in the industry that look good on a fundamental basis now? RELL actually looks like it might be okay to buy at current price (based on price/sales and price/book). Don't own any RELL, but I'm now rethinking. Paul Senior
