What a wonderful anecdote! Tell me, do you ever try to engage a stranger in conversation and have them "cut" you? I never have had that happen when I am "down South" but it does happen here. The first time it happened I was flabbergasted. Then I realized that's just the way Yankees are. Now when people in line talk to me I am delighted. BTW, don't congratulate me on the house yet, we haven't had a response to our counter yet. I think it's a bad sign . . . .
