What about the fabrication demand from the jewellery sector. This is a legit business. And it has exceed mine production for years.

Claude,

Could you provide some stats to back up that claim??

I fully realize that gold jewelry fabrication is a legitimate business.

I also realize that more jewelry will be sold if gold prices are lower. Then one will find market equilibrium between supply and demand without these specious arguments about why gold is a currency.

But I would truly be interested in seeing what the figures are for jewelry consumption for gold production. They certainly seem to have enough of it to mint coinage out of, so there doesn't' seem to be a shortage.

Regards,

Ron
