Greetings Scott and your point about the next few years is something I take for granted. After I read your post I went and ran an average holding period on my current portfolio, which told me that my average is 4.28 years on all 108 of the stocks I have. Of those 108 stocks 11 currently are at showing some type of small loss, while 90% have strong long-term gains. My broker calls me a “pack-rat” and I guess he is correct. I learned this trait from my dad who was a very successful investor and it has rewarded me well. Most investments I make are usually with my eye on the long-term.
