Steve. You, my friend are "very perceptive". Yes indeedy doo. Very perceptive. Go to my web page, and see my open letter again to the "current" Senior management of Novell. I hate to be the one (yeah, right) to burst their little bubbles, and delusions, but, He ain't gettin' no second chances. He cost me, and a whole hell of a lot of other people a lotta dough, and he ain't gonna get no second chances.
As far as I'm concerned, Eric Schmidt, SUNW, the connections he brings, etc., etc., are what's making "Novell looking up", and will continue to do so. They need some "clean air" in some of those executive suites to "blow through". Notice, I said some. Notice, I'm not mentioning any names. You don't have to be a rocket sci. to figure out who they are. But, ONE of them, you should be able to figure out immediately.
What I can't understand though, is some of these guys probably think I'm kidding, or blowing smoke, or whatever. You know, "who is this gnat? Huff, Puff, WE are the Movers and Shakers here in this here company. Well, I keep saying it Steve, It ain't done yet. They can choose or not choose to believe, but when some of them end up selling Lantansic - Retail - in some Computer City somewhere, they're gonna wake up and face reality.
They better grab a package (if they can) while it's hot.

PS: FWIW, the trade press is getting "very, very interested" in Novell right now. I suspect some "penetrating" questions are going to have to be fielded by the PTB in the upcoming weeks. Oh well, whatever.... |
