DMF - Re: VIA and Cyrix Purchase. Intel would be UNWISE in the EXTREME to let this happen. Intel should offer to buy Cyrix above VIA's offering price - and keep raising the price if VIA raises theirs. Concerns about DOJ/FTC approval should be secondary - all that can be sorted out in the future, meanwhile DELAYING any possibility of VIA entering the x86 market and p*ssing in everybody's soup. Worst case - Intel makes it VERY EXPENSIVE for VIA to buy Cyrix - VERY EXPENSIVE. Paul
