Stock Bull:

Dell can return to a hypergrowth like before by doing:

a. organic growth PLUS
b. acquisitions (look at WCOM and LU).

Dell cannot do it just by organic growth. Therefore, the only thing is by buying CPQ. The latter is ripe for a takeover target. It has assets of 16.4% in CMGI. As CMGI stock is on a tear, the value of CPQ rises accordingly. If Dell does not make a move, I will. Just look at what happen today. CPQ is up while Dell is down.

In item b) acquisition should be the company which makes sense in combining the operation. An investment in drkoop.com just does not cut it. Until Dell changes the way and going beyond organic growth, Dell stock will remain under pressure.

Best regards,

Paul
