Stock Bull:

CPQ is trading close to 52 week low. Right now it has remove its "excess baggage" AV from its day to day opeartion and smartly let CMGI do the management, yet still holding 17% of AV. On the other hand by getting 16.4% of CMGI, the value of CPQ is enhanced. Granted that it is not easy to merge CPQ into DELL because of the culture conflict arising from Pfeiffer extremely resenting MCD success. That problem should be a challenge to Dell instead of an easy activity in drkoop.com. Looking beyond this culture situation, there many overlapping units that could be trimmed to reduce cost and profit from economies of scale. For sure CPQ has to come under the knife. Internet commerce for Dell? What better way than team up with CMGI and leave GTW in the dust. You have witnessed that whatever news releases have been issued projecting the bright organic growth of Dell, the market is still yawning at the stock.

Best regards

Paul
