Brinker has never ever said a new closing high will trigger
an automatic sell signal. He has repeatedly said new closing
highs will prompt a fresh look at his market timing model
indicators in an effort to determine what comes after closing
highs are registered.
It is entirely possible that new closing highs will be followed
by an added period during which a fully invested position
remains warranted. Although there is no way of knowing in
advance what the indicators will say when new closing highs
appear, it would be premature to assume new closing highs in
and of themselves will tell us anything. In the meantime, we should
all be profiting to the max during the rally to new record highs.
