I think the Fed is going to strike while the iron kettle is hot. Alice Rivlin is not voting as she has resigned and she is a dove on inflation. Two other of the 12 FOMC posts are vacant for total of 9. There is a majority of Fed governors voting who are hawks on inflation: N.Y. Ferguson, St. Louis Poole, Richmond's Broaddus, Atlanta's Guynn will vote for 1/2 IMHO. While Mr. G, Minneapolis Stern and others will vote for 1/4.
Lets see what happens and how market reacts.
