You nailed it RTev. I got in on the $99 special and I hope that they continue to drop price to compete with cable. I live 30 minutes north of Seattle and since the Northwest seems to be the mecca for internet related Companies and users, I think that USWest has a winner near term if they can get the price down.
I'm interested to see whether Qwest or Global Crossings gets the nod to sweep them up (I'm pissed at myself for holding GBLX through this fiasco).
Re: 21 inch screen...I have actually enjoyed using my new Dell laptop more than my home system lately (complete with ethernet card of course), so I think I'll just plop it in my lap with a long RJ-45 cable attached when I get the LA-Z-BOY. <g>
