Re: Airtouch. Talked to someone there in the national telesales sales office (Folsom, IIRC) today about the status of my Thinphone order/service. He said that even though the Q860 is available only on their net signup page (not from the normal telesales reps) demand has been so high that they're now backordered - mine is now supposed to come in 7-10 days rather than the standard 2-3. After he mentioned something like, "Qualcomm makes the best phones, you're smart to wait", I asked him if the other Airtouch reps there had the same opinion. He replied, "Put it this way...we can have any phone we sell [this includes Samsung, Audiovox, and the Nok 2180] free for personal use, anytime - and I'd say 90 to 95% of us end up carrying Qualcomms".
