Although AMD's main effort is now on the high end of the PC microprocessor market, it still wants to retain its position in the sub-$1,000 PC. It would be a terrible mistake for AMD to give up on low end! > Me thinks both you and Scumbria are absolutely right. It is a question of context. Within 6 months (or less) K7s will show up in the sub-$1000 PCs. So, AMD will not be abandoning the segment - the definition of the segment, however, is a function of time. Chuck
