STK's movement toward outsourced storage management could be huge. A lot of midsize companies have huge data storage needs, but don't necessarily want to pay the price to acquire the hardware and expertise to handle the job "in-house."

A Paine Webber report this week predicts we will see a series of "announcements for STK's managed storaged services business . . . The company is now embarking on the business market for managing storage . . . positions the company at the forefront of an emerging market opportunity in outsourced storage management."
