Steve, doesn't DRIV have even more potential than just ESD? It is already getting into electronic delivery of music, and conceivably can do the same thing with books.

I can see a day in the not-too-distant future when instead of buying a pre-recorded music CD, it is the norm to download either an entire album or selected tracks and record it onto a blank recordable CD via the PC.

The same could apply to books. Instead of ordering a preprinted book from Amazon, you buy the book - at a much lower price - in electronic form. You could either print it or download it to an e-book.

There are some issues with copyright protection - it is very easy to make and distribute illegal copies in that scenario. But, if that is the future, then it seems that DRIV is in the best position to capitalize on it. I think the big question then is whether a low-margin middle-man like Amazon can survive if margins get even tighter - and if the music and book publishers will decide they don't need middle-men at all and start selling direct to the consumer.
