Michelle,

I believe that you are correct in suggesting a current marriage tax favor for single income households, and also for dual income situations where there is a gross disparity in wages. However, working singles with similar earnings need to be aware that walking down the aisle will mean paying extra to Uncle Sam. As has been expressed by others here, tossing the whole rotten tax code in the scrap heap and replacing it with a simple system, (one that the politicians can't f**k with), is by far the best solution.
