Brad, Welcome to the thread. You know about the usual fear of October. October calls seem risky beyond this earnings season. This year it might be more due to the Y2K (paranoia). IMHO, exit before earnings is best. If you still want to be in MSFT, buy leaps 2001 or 2002 options or just hold stock--just before earnings or even earlier. Good Luck.
