Dear Alok, I read the article that you mentioned several times. Butt the article is about politics. So I don't want to touch it.

Qwiksand's comments were good. MSFT will never see a future that is not connected with WINDOWS.

"Microsoft's pollution is only relevant in the context of the all-Windows PC world. But the PC is being replaced by other things despite the panicky yammerings of Michael Dell & crew. Albeit slowly, it is being replaced by other things, and these other things won't be running Windows."

And as Qwiksand notes above, it has to be an all-Windows PC world.

Fortunately, I think that in the near future, PC users may be able to use a version of LINUX/UNIX to run their machines. And, in the future, the PC will be replaced by something else. What? I don't know.

Anyway, my husband and I always said that we wouldn't have minded MSFT's stranglehold on the PC market if MSFT's products were any good. Unfortunately, they are not! We do not believe MSFT Windows is reliable or efficient, especially when MSFT's products are compared to LINUX/UNIX operating systems.

I believe Bill Gates will always believe the future is centered around Windows. Butt his dreams about the all-Windows world may turn into a nightmare for him in the very near future.

Like Charles says, all this is Just My Own Opinion.

Best wishes,

Mephisto
