Robert, I hadn't seen the article before. It was good for several chuckles: 1. The SIA is treated as though their predictions were holy gospel. No mention of the fact that they are an industry tout group whose predictions have always been way too high vs. reality, even during good times. 2. Everything is ok except for what relates to PCs. I'll buy that. Let me see, the largest chip co. makes MPCs that go in PCs. 8 of the next 9 largest chip cos. are DRAM cos. This is like saying the automobile industry is doing great except for General Motors, Ford, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, Volvo, BMW, Renault and Fiat. <g> Silly stuff. 3. No mention of the fact that chips used in consumer electronics depend nearly 100% on American consumers continuing to borrow to buy crap.

But other than those minor exceptions, great article. <g>
