<<< I view this stock not as a diamond in the rough but one just starting to show its brillance.>>>

Bruce,

I couldn't agree more. At first I was disappointed we didn't get our partnership announcement and then the more I thought about it the more I realized MCI's sponsorship is far more important at this stage of the game than any other form of affirmation. We already have partners---we're getting more, that's not in question---but without a major carrier saying publically, "ADSL is fantastic. . . we want it. . . we'll put our force behind it," we don't have a market.

So, the news is out. One of the biggest carriers in the world wants ADSL deployed. They've begun the process. They've put together a model where government, public utilities, and private enterprise can work together to bring highspeed services to schools, homes and offices. We are not talking about niche markets. We're talking ubiquitous service world-wide.

And what about Amati? Well, we have the only solution that works for both data and switched digital video. And we haven't even begun to talk about VDSL.

I'd like the stock to fly the same as everyone else. But right now I'm as content as I've been in the last 15 months. We've been given the validation we need. All the rest will fall in place.

I think I need a drink.

Cheers!

Pat
