$2,001,000 SPECIAL WARRANT FINANCING COMPLETED
Ballad is pleased to announce the completion of its $2,001,000 private
placement of 870,000 Special Warrants at a price of $2.30 each.
Each Special Warrant entitles the holder thereof to acquire, at no
additional cost, one unit consisting of one common share and one common share purchase warrant. One warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one additional common share of the Company at a price of $2.30 until March 19, 1998.
Haywood Securities Ltd. will receive commission of 49,000 Special Warrants at a deemed price of $2.30 each for acting as agent for the brokered portion of the private placement.
A portion of the proceeds of this $2,001,000 private placement will fund the Company's extensive exploration program planned for its various gold properties in Peru and Brazil this year.
