Cha2,
"Otherwise given Mr Fun's rave notice..."
As I've already noted, as much as I appreciated that citation, Mr. Fun was overly generous to me.
"would you fill us in on what your areas of special personal interest are in investing..."
I'm an independent consultant with a practice in NY City, serving financial institutions, sometimes education, very infrequently any more to carriers and emerging service providers. I tend to get involved on many different levels ranging from below grunt to principal-level core business planning, in the strategic sense.
Also do some evals and reviews for some equities folks in client organizations, which is at the heart of what I'm compelled to state, below.
I therefore have some parameters I must abide by that cause me to actually be ill-suited for naming names, if you catch my drift. I refrain from knowingly promoting the purchase or sale of any given company. Although, I will often indirectly address them through stating opinions of what I feel about the merit of their underlying technology, in generic terms. But even there I tend to decline, if it's a matter of recommending a buy or sell.
Sorry if I can't be of more help in this regard, but there are some self imposed standards that I/we as a firm must stand by due to confidences we hold. Perhaps these are the very attributes that might prove useful to a board like this, for maintaining a sense of balance. I almost said objectivity. heh heh
In any event, thanks for asking.
Regards, Frank Coluccio
ps - I almost forgot to answer your question!
My interests lie in the history and the present- and future- developments of telecommunications transmission systems and networks, including their supporting technologies. I think I've said enough. Ciao. |
