Very insightful on Marengi. I too believe he was really talking out of turn, and will pay for it. Hopefully.

Sure they're bringing Schmidt in to follow the game plan as laid out by you, Joe. What a maroon.

On the rate rise, the usual modus operandi is to not move unless they plan to do several increases. Otherwise they sit tight. So it will be a terrible precedent.

But the market will have discounted the first move or two, and we will be inundated with experts saying, "see, it doesn't hurt the market"! But eventually (within 6 months) the market will crack.

If it cracks any sooner it will mean it's an even bigger mistake than it appears to me.
