3Com Corp. (COMS) 33 5/8 +1 7/16: networking concern posts a fiscal 3rd qtr net of $0.47 a share versus year-ago net of
$0.42 a share; beats Wall Street consensus estimates by a penny; revenue rose 30% to $786.8 mln; systems product sales
rose 24% while network adapters sales rose 39%; company says that 3rd qtr reflects increased competition and also a pause
in industry demand....
