I'm sure hoping. My local cable operator was acquired by TCI about a year ago so maybe there's hope. Unfortunately my DSL connection is needed at my office, which isn't cable-enabled (and I'm on the 9th floor so even if they brought cable to the building I'd have to pay several thousand dollars to bring it up 9 flights.
