I think you misunderstand me.They would need the vast nearly free computing power to store and use clunky Java programs,( known for the slow speed inherent in an interpreted program ) at any speed fast enough to satisfy picky customers. Here the issue of the need for cheap speed is what separates CTXS from web java competitive solutions. Most CTXS thin client programs work fine on a slow client.
The cheap wide bandwith and internet free of delays are also not needed by CTXS, but are necessary for any kind of www -Java solution.
Part of the drive toward Java is political rather than technical in nature. People want to gore the MSFT bull.
