Screens

Generally I look for the 14 period stochastic to be above 30, the Price Rate of Change and Bull Power above 0, the Linear regression Forecast below the close, the 1 day on balance volume greater than the 14 day average OBV, the 3 day Moving Average Greater than the 7 day moving average, and a few others - its early and I am not at my machine to go look it up. However, these can change. If the screen fails to get a reasonable number of those on reversals and uptrends, (and reasonable can mean about 20 of the 240 tickers I scan - too many is a bad as too few) I will adjust the criteria to reduce or increase the number screned out. Also, this set has been working for about a month, so there isn't one set that works all the time. If I see stocks, like in the case with SGI bing on Tom or Jeff or Dave's list, and I look at the chart and it seems like it should have been screened as an uptrending stock, I will revisit the criteria to see what kept it out. In SGI's case, it was because of the Linear Regression beling below the low (a previous condition) and not merely below the close (what I changed the criteria to).
