| Simple...they will get to redraw the whole set of rules as to how enterprises do business to business commerce. My submission is that all of the regular policies, procedures, processes around order entry, inventory management, logistics, distribution, accounting, AR, AP is going to change within the next 3-5 years. I AM familiar with Oracle Financials thoroughly, and I can assure you that their software is entirely built around 'old style' business processes, and the associated internal controls, reporting mechanisms, departmental hand-offs, etc....I could write pages on what I mean here, but I won't.
But if GPSI is smart, and I see them executing flawlessly so far, and with Bill Gates' wisdom as encapsulated in his most recent book, they're going to be the future star in embedding the new rule ERP within their software...meantime, I forecast most companies gradually canning their SAP, Peoplesoft and BAAN software...bold statements, but I can't see how their modules can be reengineered elegantly to deal with the new rules that Bill refers to in his book...I could relate to a lot of his rules personally, because I couldn't see how the old ERP systems could deal with these...

Sorry to ramble on, hope it made a little sense, but I wish MSFT would quietly acquire GPSI and let these guys be the chosen platform for embedding a lot of Bill's ideas within GPSI new software versions...

 Good luck...
