Without giving away technology, I'll try to explain something about the DBII system. They implemented their system in such a way that all you have to do is 'configure' to get it to run for a different customer. This is a plus on their side. They have tons of experience with the AFIS NIST standard. I think this company is having a turn around now. The AFIS industry is finally starting to go global and DBII is well positioned. Once UK Nafis goes online, Live scan units will be deployed all around the country. There is even talk of putting some in mobile units for use at festivals, etc... Last time I talked to my source, TRW is on plan with their latest schedule. Also here is the TRW unit on the DBII page digitalbiometrics.com The TRW unit has the Palm scanner!
