Walter,

e.Digital is a tiny company without any capital for growth. It has had operating losses of $2 to $2.5 million in each of the last two years. It relies on relationships with other industry giants to support R&D with handouts.

The question I ask is as follows...

If microOS is a crucial feature for flash memory why is it not a part of SanDisk's controller chip?

Also...

1)Where are the licensing revenues for microOS?
2)Why does the company continue to list the Miniature Card as a design-in win other than to leverage a past link to Intel?
3)What are the projected revenues from handheld dictation devices the company produces?
4)Does this company have the financial means to defend itself if patent litigation arises?
5)How will eDig compete with the Koreans, Sony, Diamond, Creative... in the mp3 field?
6)Why is this a publicly traded company with only 17 employees?

Here is a concerning statement I pulled out of the latest annual report.

Revenue from licensing, royalties and development services, and additional product supply arrangements, if any, are expected to be subject to significant month to month variability resulting from the limited market penetration and license activity to date, the timing and delays associated with OEM new product introductions and the seasonal nature of demand for consumer electronic products.

IMHO, eDig is a penny stock with no proven track record. I seems that you will get what you pay for it.
