Rex,

re: $75.00 in 1999

Aus is waiting for a 2M share day. I'm waiting for a top line of $55M and a bottom line of $0.40 in some Q.

If we are up $4 3/8 on volume of 400,000 shares you can be damned sure that I am looking forward to that "2-million-shares-traded" day.

The quarter you are looking for will come sooner than you think, Rex. I have unofficially tracked card sales (48 MB CompactFlash) and it appears that this card capacity is either sold out or SanDisk is clearing a path for the 64 MB card release. Most e-mall sites are listing the 48 MB card as "backordered" and the price point has been firm. This seems to spell an upcoming blow-out earnings report in Q3 or Q4.

The VCall conference yesterday interviewed Bruce Seltzer who appears to know quite a bit about the industry and claims "specialty semiconductors" as an area of concentration. He hinted that demand is beginning to outstrip product availability. Indeed, we have been waiting a long, long time for the first hint of a supply-demand inversion.

Rex, as I have mentioned many times before, your 1997 treatise is what finally tripped the switch for me. I just wish Jerome was here to enjoy the ride.

At this point people who will wait for SNDK to be "less overvalued" may end up sitting on the sidelines for a long time. Suprisingly, the current fascination with the mp3 craze seems to be creating a feeding frenzy. And to think that we have several years of digital camera growth that has yet to be realized.

P.S. Rex, seems like your $75.00 target is "doable" in 1999 and we will forgive you for the $50.00 1998 projection. You were only off by like $37.00 at year-end!!!
