Their device is not a small hand-held player.
It is a piece of equipment like a multi-CD player.

They don't need to use flash memory...
They can use conventional static or dynamic memories.

They are probably going to use their own program (operating system) to control the device.

Sounds like you would be able to 'burn' your own CD's and get more music on each CD as compared to current music CD's.

Now, to be fully rounded out, they should make the system music available to a small hand-held player using flash memory...
We know who would be in the picture there... Right?

Yes, confirmed by a post after I submitted my original post.

Let's just hope that the Lucent/EDIG/EPAC combo survives as the Indusrty Standard.

Kinda reminds me of the old Beta vs VHS fight...
